Users with multiple email accounts might come across unfeasibility accessing all of them all the time. If you are facing similar issues, simply centralize all your email accounts into Outlook and access all the messages in one inbox. This is simple, easy, and effective. This applies to your Yahoo Mail account, too. Read on to know how to configure Yahoo Mail with Outlook (all versions – 2007, 2013, 2016, and 2019).

Is Your Yahoo Mail Account Ready?

Before you go ahead and set up Yahoo Mail with Outlook, ensure the former mail account is ready. Check whether your Yahoo Mail account has enabled the ‘two-step verification’ option. If it is already enabled, you need to generate a password (Yahoo Mail app password). It will later be used at the time of configuration.

In case the ‘two-step verification’ option is not enabled, you will need to do the following –

  • Login to your Yahoo Mail account.
  • Look for ‘Profile Name’ (in the upper right corner) and select ‘Account Info’.
  • Now you need to choose ‘Account Security’ and turn on “Allow apps that use less secure sign in”.
  • It is now ready to accept sign-ins from Outlook.

Note: It is highly recommended to go for the ‘two-step verification’ option. It is more secure and prevents any kind of unauthorized access.
